Hollywood Rising Star Dies Suddenly at 44

(NationRise.com) – Hollywood promising star and TV producer Kevin Turen died at the age of 44 on November 12. He was considered the mastermind behind some of the most iconic shows right now, including HBO’s The Idol and Euphoria. No cause of death has been made public so far.

In a statement, Turen’s father, Edward, said that the family is “shocked” because of his son’s death. He also noted that the TV producer was a talented man and that the world is going “to be less” without his presence, as he was considered a “happy” and “special” person by everyone who knew him.

PMC’s CEO Jay Pensky, who was a personal friend of Turen, published a statement on his Twitter account where he said that Turen’s “greatest passion” was his friends and family. Pensky explained that even when Turen had “many achievements” in the entertainment industry, his biggest “pride” was his wife Evelina and his children. The CEO also pointed out that Hollywood will miss not only one of the “brightest rising stars” who could’ve achieved “everything” but also a great person.

Turen’s work in TV included Irma Vep, along with Sam Levinson’s Malcolm and Marie. His first production was Wassup Rockers, which became a success that allowed him to produce The Birth of a Nation, 99 Homes, Pieces of a Woman or even Arbitrage. He most recently produced The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which starred Hollywood superstars Pedro Pascal and Nicholas Cage.

Turen studied film arts at Columbia University and was one of the four main producers of the American slasher movie series X. Different reports revealed he was going to be involved in producing the third and last film of the trilogy in December.

His death came three months after Euphoria actor Angus Cloud died of an overdose in Oakland, California. Some media outlets said that Turen’s death was a sudden one and noted that the family hasn’t revealed any details about it.
