RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel Allegedly Fires Back at Ramaswamy

(NationRise.com) – The Republican National Committee is denying the claim that RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel called 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, 38, an “a**hole” during the Nov. 8 debate in Miami, Florida.

A source who was sitting near McDaniel told Timcast that while the debate was going on, McDaniel referenced Ramaswamy, stating that he was a “Total a**hole.” McDaniel added, “He won’t be getting a cent from us,” according to the source. She allegedly said that he just needed “a headline” because of his 4 percent polling.

The comments from McDaniel came as Ramaswamy spent part of his opening statement at the debate commenting about McDaniel’s leadership of the RNC and Republican’s disappointing Nov. 7 election results. In his comments, Ramaswamy stated the GOP was a “party of losers.” He made reference to the fact that Republicans have lost elections in 2018, 2020, and 2022 since her 2017 takeover of the RNC. He called on her to “look the GOP voters in the eye and tell them you resign.” He also used his statement to criticize the selection of NBC News to moderate the debate, adding that it should have been Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, or Tucker Carlson.

According to the source, McDaniel was completely melting down over Ramaswamy.

In a video shared by the Daily Caller, Ramaswamy and McDaniel appeared to exchange words following the debate.

During a Nov. 9 interview on Fox Business’s “Varney & Company,” McDaniel responded to questions about the events during the debate. She stated that the RNC is a federal committee and therefore “doesn’t do state races.” She added that because Ramaswamy was new to the Republican party, he may not know this. She added that he was “an Obama voter” before joining the Republican party. McDaniel also blamed the Nov. 7 election losses on the issue of abortion, stating the RNC doesn’t “do the messaging,” adding that “our candidates have lost their messaging on abortion.”
