(NationRise.com) – Authorities across the country are sounding the alarm over the rising potential of terrorist attacks on American soil. On June 14, Republican Representative Pat Fallon of Texas revealed some startling information regarding Tajikistan immigrants who had recently been arrested in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York.
According to the Rep, who is a sitting member of the National Security, the Border and Foreign Affairs subcommittee, wiretap information revealed that one of the migrants had been discussing bombs with the others.
During an interview with The Epoch Times, Fallon said that the situation was “scary” as one of the problems of the current border crisis is that terrorists might enter the United States. He also detailed that the immigrants had possible ties to the terrorist organization ISIS.
On March 22, Tajikistan nationals in Russia carried out one of the worst terrorist attacks that the Eurasian nation has ever suffered, with terrorists entering the Crocus City Hall in Moscow and brutally killing nearly 150 people. Some political reporters eventually revealed that the terrorists were part of the Islamic State-Khorasan, also known as ISIS-K.
The Tajikistan nationals arrested by US authorities on June 11 were being tracked by the Joint Terrorism Task Force of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for weeks. Some wire agencies detailed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents took the eight of them into custody on charges of immigration violation.
Authorities said that the Tajikistan nationals illegally crossed the United States Southern Border in 2023 and were eventually released after being vetted. The federal government’s screening process didn’t show any data that would’ve identified the immigrants as ISIS terrorists.
Fallon explained during the interview that he had access to the wiretap information during a classified hearing in May. In addition to the concerns with the Tajikistan nationals, Fallon added that migrants from China and other adversarial countries have been trying to get access to military bases and have been illegally crossing the border with record numbers.
The GOP congressman said that Navy Admiral Daryl Caudle recently told him that incidents involving Russian and Chinese migrants trying to breach US Navy bases happen up to three times per week. He added that members of the Biden administration are ignoring the problem.
