(NationRise.com) – The United Nations Human Rights agency said recently that it was “horrified” by the numerous reports that mass graves containing hundreds of corpses at two of the most important hospitals in Gaza had been reportedly discovered. Based on the findings from Palestinian officials, the reports detailed that one of the graves was right next to the Nasser health center in the city of Khan Younis. The report added it was discovered a couple of days after the Israeli military left the area and detailed that 310 corpses have been found so far.
In a statement, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said that everyone in the world needed to know what happened. She explained that the corpses found inside the graves were buried deep, adding that most of the deceased were women and older people. Shamdasani also said that many of them had no clothes and had all types of wounds.
Since the Israeli military started its military incursion in Gaza, following the October 7 attacks committed by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in the Jewish State, many agencies and activists have claimed numerous crimes from the Israelis. While many have accused Israel’s Armed Forces of deliberately killing innocent Palestinians, others have argued that the information about their deaths should be taken with a grain of salt, as every Palestinian source is part of Hamas.
In addition to the Nasser Hospital, the other mass grave was found in the compound of Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, days after Israeli troops left the area after a military operation in the zone. UN’s observation missions discovered the grave, which Shamdasani described as a “horror” as many of the bodies had their hands tied. She explained the UN would open an investigation into the matter as such signs indicate violations of humanitarian laws and even human rights laws.
In a separate statement, the Israeli military dismissed claims that they buried Palestinian corpses in mass graves. It also explained some of its officers had exhumed bodies to find hostages taken by the terrorist group on October 7.
