CEO Criticizes Economic Policies

Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue has firmly criticized the Biden-Harris administration, claiming their policies are exacerbating economic conditions and driving Americans into poverty. Speaking on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Unanue compared the current administration’s record with the prosperity achieved during Donald Trump’s presidency. He pointed to issues like inflation, supply chain disruptions, and increasing regulatory requirements as factors that are squeezing American households.

Unanue lambasted the administration’s handling of fossil fuels, arguing that the economic measures taken are doing more harm than good. He emphasized that the high prices and scarcity of essential goods are directly affecting the financial stability of average Americans, creating an unsustainable economic environment.

Comparing Trump and Biden-Harris Economies

Unanue also addressed the ongoing debate about the economic outlook, drawing stark contrasts between Trump’s and the Biden-Harris administrations. He asserted that Trump’s era was marked by prosperity and growth, while the current administration has only brought inflation and greater poverty. He stated, “You have two records that are very clear that Donald Trump had prosperity. And, the Harris-Biden administration gave us inflation and basically poverty. They’re driving us into poverty. Poverty is slavery.”

Unanue also touched on the effects of global events such as the war in Ukraine on agricultural production and the costs of fertilizers. He criticized the Green New Deal as “crazy” and voiced concern over the administration’s freeze on the Keystone pipeline.

Concerns Over Border Control and Benefits Disparity

Unanue went a step further, accusing the administration of being complicit in allowing child and human trafficking due to poor border control measures. During an interview on WABC’s “The Cats Roundtable,” he argued that the government’s failure to secure the southern border has exacerbated these critical issues. He said, “How about the United States — instead of being the complicit middlemen in child trafficking, human trafficking, and drugs — why don’t they put a lid on that and control our borders,” adding, “We’re all truly blessed to have a leader like President Trump.”

Unanue also criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for prioritizing grocery price controls over addressing border concerns. He raised alarms over the disparate benefits non-citizens receive compared to legal residents, noting that “illegals coming into this country received nearly $4,000 in benefits,” while the average Social Security check is only $1,200.

Moving Forward

As a supporter of former President Trump, Unanue has continued to voice his discontent with the current administration. He is a staunch advocate for economic policy changes and was previously censured by the Goya Foods board for questioning the legitimacy of the 2020 election. Unanue is also working on a book titled “Blessed, Donald J. Trump and the Spiritual War: How the Battle for the Soul of this Country Began With One Word,” indicating his continuous support for Trump. He suggested that Trump survived an assassination attempt due to divine intervention.

The upcoming November elections, according to Unanue, present a critical choice for Americans between poverty and prosperity. As the debate continues, the focus remains on how voters will decide the direction of the country’s economic future.
