GOP Aims for Blue States After Biden Fumbles at Debate

(NationRise.com) – Political reporters have revealed that the problems that US President Joe Biden has been facing after the last debate are giving former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump the chance to target numerous blue states. Many Democrats feel upset with the situation, as many claim that Trump’s chance to flip some blue states was unthinkable a couple of weeks ago.

During an interview with The Hill, GOP strategist Colin Reed said that Trump’s campaign will try to flip the states of Minnesota, Virginia, and New Hampshire, as they believe Trump’s momentum could make him tear down the “blue wall.” He added that the Democratic Party and President Biden’s campaign have reason to panic as no Republican would be able to do that in normal circumstances. When asked what the chances of the commander-in-chief getting reelected would be if Trump happens to get good results in those blue states, Reed said that President Biden could say “goodbye” to the presidential election.

Over the last few years, these three states have been a frustration for the Republican Party as they haven’t been able to flip them despite improving their performance and having governors in Virginia and New Hampshire. Political analysts believe that Minnesota could be the most challenging state of the three to flip for the Trump campaign, as the conservative leader lost by 1.5 points in the 2016 presidential election and by 7 points four years later.

So far, it remains unclear whether President Biden will end up being the Democratic nominee for the presidential election, considering the chaos that erupted among Democrats after his last debate with Trump. His performance was so disastrous that many journalists revealed that members of the Democratic Party said they were going to formally ask the commander-in-chief to suspend his re-election campaign. They would plan to pick another political figure they believe could beat Trump in November’s electoral event.
