(NationRise.com) – Andy Harris, a physician and Republican Congressman representing Maryland, recently said that President Joe Biden can’t hide from his mental issues during the 2024 campaign season.
Instead, he believes the severity of the problem will only become more widely known as campaign season heats up. He also claims there is “no way” Biden will have the mental fitness to serve another four years in his demanding role.
Harris, who previously worked as an anesthesiologist, currently serves as a member of the GOP’s Doctors Caucus. He also claimed that Biden would have likely lost the 2020 election if he hadn’t been kept “in the basement.” He then went on to state that Biden is showing signs of dementia.
The claims come just weeks after a special report declared that Biden had a “poor memory.” The report was published in response to allegations that Biden stored classified documents improperly. It also announced that he would not face charges despite striking similarities to documents that led to an FBI raid of former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
Harris then claimed that prominent Democrats, including former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, are concerned about Biden’s mental acuity. He believes they will likely try to remove him from the ticket ahead of the Democrat Party’s convention in August. He also believes one of them will attempt to take his place even though both former presidents have already served two terms. However, Harris acknowledged that Biden will likely do well as long as he can follow a teleprompter.
However, that leaves little time for a new candidate to lead a successful campaign. Some state primaries have already ended and awarded their delegates.
Biden’s presidency has been plagued by a series of gaffes that have left Americans on both sides concerned. Several of those gaffes took place during meetings with world leaders at a period when global tensions were reaching historic highs. Harris also raised concerns about Biden’s ability to make significant decisions during wartime.
