Judge Pirro Lashes Out at Hunter's Special Counsel

(NationRise.com) – Fox News host Jeanine Pirro went on the attack recently, slamming Hunter Biden’s special council and the now defunct plea deal.

Pirro launched into the offensive, stating that the failed plea deal and diversion agreement involving Hunter Biden was nothing more than a “classic bait-and-switch.” The former judge added that United States Special Counsel David Weiss acted as a “defense attorney” in this case.

The president’s son pleaded not guilty to a felony gun charge and two misdemeanor tax charges after his plea deal collapsed on June 20. This happened after US District Judge Maryellen Noreika raised doubts about the initial plea agreement and a limited revision in a July 26 hearing.

During an appearance on “The Story,” Pirro told host Martha MacCallum that Weiss was “really a defense attorney” for President Joe Biden’s son and noted he was refusing to be “tough” on this case. She also told MacCallum that Weiss was responsible for arranging the agreement in question. However, Pirro noted that the judge in the case raised concerns about the legality of this move and the extent of the immunity it provided to Hunter Biden. She claimed this is why “everybody” said, “It’s over.”

When asked about claims by Hunter Biden’s attorneys that the diversion agreement was still in place, Pirro stated this was “off the table” as soon as “they said it was over” in the courtroom. She also said that the president’s son’s legal team is suddenly trying to “extrapolate the diversion” agreement.

During a July 19 hearing held by the Congress’ Oversight Committee, Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley testified about alleged interference with the probe into Hunter Biden. Many Republican leaders said their testimony confirmed what many Americans have suspected since the investigation started — that the Department of Justice is somehow acting in favor of the president’s son instead of acting neutrally.

At the end of the interview, MacCallum said it was difficult to interpret Weiss’ intentions of going to California “to prosecute.” Shen then told Pirro that the hidden and underlying aspects of this controversy were finally becoming noticeable to everyone.
