Former FBI Director Says Biden Is His 2024 Pick

(NationRise.com) – Former FBI Director James Comey said during a Sunday interview on MSNBC that he will support US President Joe Biden for the 2024 presidential election. His comments came as no surprise considering that he was a radical critic of former President Donald Trump, who will likely win the GOP nomination.

The moment took place as he was responding to questions from President Biden’s former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. She has been part of the mainstream media after leaving her previous role at the Biden administration. Currently, she’s hosting her show for the liberal network, which many believe will not save MSNBC from its rating crisis.

When Psaki asked him what his thoughts were about next year’s presidential election, the former FBI director said “It has to be Joe Biden.” He said he’s glad that the president is still “willing to serve,” pointing out he’s someone committed not only to the American values but also to the rule of law.

Comey also said he didn’t want to talk about policy because this is a topic that people could disagree with. He told Psaki that the most important thing for people who run for president is not their policies but their respect for the law and Constitution.

In another part of the interview, Comey said that if Trump is elected again, the United States could suffer one of its most delicate crises. After all, he told Psaki that the country would experience four years of “retribution presidency” in case Trump wins the 2024 presidential election.

Comey was fired by the former president back in 2017, while he was leading the bureau’s probe of alleged Russian collusion with his campaign.

Last month, the Durham report revealed that the FBI and the US State Department committed numerous missteps during this investigation. The report even said that both agencies didn’t uphold their crucial mission of “strict fidelity to the law.”
