Chris Christie Expected To Launch 2024 Presidential Bid

(NationRise.com) – Former Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will announce his presidential bid this week. Fox News pointed out that the Republican leader will make the announcement in New Hampshire.

While many expected this to happen, political analysts believe that Christie doesn’t have much of a chance of winning the GOP nomination. After all, the race is already crowded with numerous Republican leaders that have better poll numbers than the former New Jersey Governor.

The greatest cases are the ones of former President Donald Trump and Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who are the favorites to win the nomination. Trump has been the main favorite over the last few years, to the point where he managed to make the GOP embrace its Make America Great Again movement. On his part, DeSantis is seen as a Republican leader that has contributed to making Florida red, being the reason why he’s the second-favorite right now. However, every poll shows that the popularity distance between the former president and the Florida Governor is quite large.

As reported by Axios, Christie will make his official announcement next Tuesday at Saint Anselm College. This will take place at 6:30 pm ET, and his team told the media outlet that the former New Jersey Governor is expected to be joyful and show he can beat Trump.

His team also told Axios that Christie’s New Hampshire town halls and latest interviews aim to repeat the energy of his gubernatorial race in 2009. They also pointed out that Christie will show every single Republican that he’s not afraid of speaking his mind and taking risks when necessary.

In another article, the New York Times revealed that the people who will run his campaign will be Mike DuHaime and Maria Comella. This isn’t surprising since both DuHaime and Comella have been some of Christie’s most important aides during his political career.
